Biography

Melissa Yung has performed painting for over 40 years. Her artworks have been fully recognized and collected by various well-known institutions and individuals, including the Chinese Ministry of Culture, Rutgers University, Sinovision, Amerasia Bank, Overseas Chinese Press, Overseas Chinese Museum, Consulate General of China in New York, and Guangxi Province Library. She also is the first overseas artist who held a solo art exhibition in China National Art Gallery, the top authorized art gallery in China.
 

She has received many certificates of recognition for her outstanding art performance from New York State Senator John Liu and Toby Ann Stavisky, and New York City Council Member Peter Koo. The various local and overseas newspapers and televisions have reported her artworks for years.
 

Melissa has devoted herself to promoting arts and enriching community activities. Melissa’
current titles are as follows,

• Honored President of Southern China Branch of Global Art League

• Vice President of Guangxi Alumni Association of America

 

Besides her numerous solo exhibitions over the world. Her artworks have been selected for the
first “Embracing China - World Overseas Chinese Art Exhibition” in the China National Museum in Beijing and other well-known exhibitions over the world.
